About Research at Bradford

Research at Bradford - Dementia Care (JPEG, 17KB)

Our research and its significance is reflected through technological advancements, societal & economic improvements, and healthcare & policy developments. Our future plans are firmly embedded in this same vision and underpin the University’s strapline 'Making Knowledge Work'.

The University recently implemented a Research & Knowledge Transfer Strategy to strengthen and shape Bradford’s identity as a dynamic, research-led University by 2014.

One of the key components of our strategy has been to establish 9 dedicated Research & Knowledge Transfer Centres. These are defined by three core themes of our research excellence - People & Society, Innovative Engineering and Healthcare Technology -  spanning a number of major global priorities. This strategy is the foundation for our future research.

We will continue to build upon our research excellence by providing a stimulating research environment for our staff and students, nurturing their talent and potential. We will do this by seeking new ways to engage with partners and by further enhancing and developing close collaborations with other universities, industry, government and the community, and by continuing our history of innovation and the application of our knowledge, in order to find real-world solutions.
