Nightingale Care Home, the largest Jewish care home in the UK, has partnered with the University of Bradford's internationally recognised centre for excellence, Bradford Dementia Group, to establish a blueprint for care provision for people with dementia in the care home.
The new partnership launched in January 2-11 not only means that Nightingale Care Home can add to their excellent provision of care for those with dementia, but also that the two leading organisations in the field of care and dementia can jointly set guidelines for dementia care across the country.
Paul Edwards, Head of Training and Practice Development at Bradford Dementia Group, said: "This project will transform care services for people with dementia and provide a blueprint of how we can develop, deliver and evaluate a model of excellence in dementia care. Both organisations are united in the belief that we can make a difference to the lives of people with dementia and those who care for them. This is an exciting venture that will benefit the lives of people with dementia and those who care for them at Nightingale, and will raise the bar in what we can expect of care organisations in the field."
