An Introduction to Programming

Start time: 13:00

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

This workshop provides you with an opportunity to discover what Computer Programming is about. Find out more about programming, and the basic concepts that are applied to real-world software that you use everyday.

This is a hands-on workshop introducing you to computer programming, designed for those with no previous programming experience.

It is delivered using simple, interactive and enjoyable exercises that will help provide you with some of the skills necessary to develop your own quick programs, games, or mobile apps.

An Introduction to Cyber Security

Start time: 13:00

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

This fascinating talk will discuss the general background of cyber security and attempt to delve into the 'mind of the hacker'.

It will explore questions around how secure your data is, and what privacy really means, by demonstrating current applications and online technologies that impact on cyber security.

Android Programming for Mobiles, Tablets and Watches

Start time: 14:30

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Join us for a taster session with Android programming. You will get to code a real mobile app and test it for different interfaces such as mobiles, tablets and watches.

No prior programming experience is required, and help will be at hand.
