MA Sociology, Social Policy and Crime Drop-in Session
Location: Richmond E17, University of Bradford City Campus
Date and Time:
Thu 27 Apr 2017, 11:45 - 12:45
A drop-in session for current students who are interested in studying the new MA Sociology, Social Policy and Crime programme.
The Division of Sociology and Criminology is holding a drop-in session for anyone who is interested in our new MA Sociology, Social Policy and Crime programme.
One year, full-time programme
The programme is offered on a full-time basis and will run for one full year. The current draft timetable indicates that during both semesters one and two, two of the three scheduled modules are timetabled for the same day. This is favourable for applicants who might be working, have caring responsibilities or travelling costs.
Semester One - elective module
Our MA also includes an elective module during semester one, which means that students can choose any module (which is at the appropriate level) from across the University. Thus you can tailor the programme according to your own academic specialisms, career aspirations (for example management prospects) or research interests.
Semester Two - Advanced Research Methodology module
In the second semester, students will be taught an advanced research methodology module, and the assessment for this is your dissertation proposal, which will also focus on your own academic and research interests. in addition, and as you are not required to start writing your dissertation until May, you have the whole of the summer to concentrate on this piece of work.
We are welcoming any interested prospective students to come along to chat with us on Thursday 27 April, 11:45 - 12:45 on the University’s City Campus in Richmond E17
