IRINA BROWN
(the new Artistic Director of the Tron Theatre, Glasgow)
who will hold a practical workshop on the hotbed of Russian theatrical dissent, its prime exponent Aleksei Shipenko, and his explosive play LAVOCHKIN-5 (La Funf in der Luft).
Ms. Brown is directing the first English-language production of this play at the Tron in May. Its author is a rock musician and an actor as well as a playwright, and will be spending a fortnight in Glasgow in the spring.
All those interested are cordially invited to attend. Russian speakers will be able to practice their bad language, but the workshop should also be of interest and value to people who don’t know Russian.
