Languages for All
If you choose to study at Bradford you may be able to learn a language as part of your course through the Languages for All programme.
Language skills can significantly enhance your career opportunities and earning potential, and are also useful if you plan to spend part of your course, or placement time, abroad.
You can choose from French, German, Russian and Spanish at various levels, plus beginners' Arabic, and English as a Foreign Language for international students. Or you may want to study a language as an additional course of study, as an Associate Student. We also offer students the chance to use self-study resources in over twenty other languages including Hindi and Urdu.
The programme is run by friendly expert staff from the Department of Languages and European Studies, including native speakers. You'll also find a range of specialist facilities including a newly refurbished multi-media resources centre, language laboratories, and conference interpreting suite.
We also have a separate Language Unit which offers English support for international students, and also runs the International Foundation Programme.

Our students say . . .
"It is brilliant for beginners like me, it's not like school where you get taught everything bit by bit. This module taught us the most useful things to get by in Germany."
