Supporting Black and Asian Performance Makers (panel discussion)

Monday 22nd October 2012

Supporting Black and Asian Performance Makers

Venue: Theatre in the Mill, University of Bradford

Time: 7pm

Free

A panel discussion: how do we best support black and Asian performance makers in Bradford?

Theatre makers, audiences and anyone interested beyond those categories are invited along to a panel discussion between Theatre in the Mill Artistic Director, Iain Bloomfield, Yorkshire Post Arts Correspondent (and playwright) Nick Ahad, Hidden Gems Productions Director/Producer Amanda Huxtable and Bradford born Theatre maker Javaad Alipoor.

Bradford has developed a rich history in the support of new work from our diverse communities, particularly through the Asian Theatre School, however, are we doing enough and are we doing the right things to support  diversity in the stories we are told and the people who tell them?
