Important

This site now serves as an archive only for historical purposes.

The Web 2000 project provided the University with opportunity to expand and improve its Web site, promote the use of the Web and maximise its potential as a powerful tool for everyone at the University.  Although the project was drawn to a close at the end of 2001, we continue to build upon its foundations.

Current support to Web users and developers is available on the Learning Support Services Web authoring resources page.

If you wish to access Web2000 pages and are unable to do so, please e-mail info-admin@bradford.ac.uk

Projects

The Computer Centre Systems and Micros teams explore emerging technologies as an on-going process. Current work includes testing a hardware web caching appliance, and developing a Web based printer
administration system to enable printing status to be checked via the Web.

Test Pilot

The University now has a site licence for Test Pilot a Web based assessment tool, which is being used successfully by some departments.  If you are interested in using Test Pilot as a Web based assessment tool please contact Tim Bentley - t.a.bentley@bradford.ac.uk

Staff Briefing

A joint initiative by MIS, Corporate Communications and the Print Unit, the Staff Briefing exploits the Web as a communication tool, reduces paper and printing costs and goes some way to protecting the environment.

SAINT (Student Administration Information Navigation & Tracking)

A project to implement an integrated student system, covering all types of student, course, assessment and award, and ranging over the whole of a student's life-cycle, from initial enquiry through to alumni, and allowing for later (or concurrent) registrations.  Full details are available on the SAINT Web site.
