Assessment feedback and return of assessed work
Marks or other results relating to an individual student, including decisions of the Board of Examiners, are provided directly and in confidence to that student, normally by e-Vision. Results or pass lists whether using student names and/or numbers, are not permitted to be published.
The Student Charter states that students will be provided with quality feedback via a number of mechanisms within 20 working days (4 working weeks) of summative assessment hand-in dates.
Feedback should provide a clear and structured explanation of the mark(s) awarded, be referenced to the module learning outcomes and aligned with the Institutional Grading Criteria. The feedback should enable students to understand the strengths and weaknesses of their work relative to these reference points and how their work could be improved for future submissions.
Further guidance relating to feedback on assessment is available on the Centre for Educational Development website.
