The three central documents required for Periodic Review are:
- The Critical Appraisal Document.
- Student written submission, should students take this opportunity.
- An updated Programme Specification.
The Critical Appraisal Document provides an overview of the operation of the programme over the years being considered and is the main record of the analysis and evaluation undertaken by the Programme Management Team. The Critical Appraisal Document must be accompanied by detailed proposals for revised or new elements of provision as a result of the Programme Management Team’s evaluation.
The student written submission provides a means by which students can inform the review panel ahead of the review, on matters they consider relevant given the purpose of the Periodic Review. The student written submission is an opportunity for the students to give the Review panel an impression of what it is like to be a student on the programme under review.
A range of supporting documents is also required.
