We have some very specialist start-up facilities in the University you may be interested in if your business is focussed on digital innovation, digital health or the environment.
The Re:centre inspires and supports the design and redesign of products, services and infrastructure to deliver radical new business solutions that are better for the environment. It offers business units and hot desk facilities to current and ex-students as well as other existing and new business clients on a wide range of ventures and business activities.
The Re:centre is based in the Bright Building on City Campus, a building designed to provide maximum flexibility and adaptability and to create an environment to promote and inspire enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Digital Health Enterprise Zone
The Digital Health Enterprise Zone (DHEZ) programme is a £13 million partnership led by the University of Bradford and backed by investment from BT, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council and the UK government. It aims to make a significant contribution in reducing the predicted NHS £30 billion funding gap by helping get great digital health ideas off the ground and out to market. In April 2016 it opened a high-tech business incubation facility for organisations innovating in technology-led health products in Little Germany in the Centre of Bradford, called the Digital Exchange.
The Ad:Venture programme, available across the Leeds City Region and which we are partners in, offers business incubation space for those planning to start a business or existing businesses in their first 3 years of trading.
Conference and Meeting Space
The University has fully catered conference facilities, meeting rooms and accommodation on both campuses (City Centre and School of Management) available for business hire. These include the Re:centre and Heaton Mount.
The Digital Health Enterprise Zone (led by the University of Bradford), also has event and meeting space to hire in the Digital Exchange, a recently converted former textile mill in Little Germany.
Academic Facilities and Laboratories
We have many leading-edge health, life science, engineering and informatics research and teaching facilities of world-class standard for business to benefit from. These can be utilised through academic research activity and some can be booked for independent use.
To explore access to academic facilities you need to discuss your requirements with an academic member of staff in that area.
In addition to research and teaching facilities, we have fully catered conference facilities, meeting rooms and accommodation on both campuses (City Centre and Faculty of Management and Law) available for business hire. These include the Re:centre and Heaton Mount.
