Digital Health Enterprise Zone
Creating a community to change people’s lives through innovations in digital health and care.
The UKs ageing population, more long-term conditions and growing constraints on budgets puts an increasing demand on services with fewer resources to deliver them.
The Digital Health Enterprise Zone (DHEZ) is about improving people’s lives and health services through new innovations in digital health and care. The DHEZ is a partnership, led by the University of Bradford, with BT, and City of Bradford MDC. It anchors Leeds City Region as the place in the UK to create, innovate and grow technology-enabled health and care solutions. DHEZ has 2 component parts.
- DHEZ Ltd helps businesses develop new digital health products and services by providing a physical base and a community that nurtures ideas in the Digital Exchange in Little Germany.
- DHEZ Academic is a purpose-designed Phoenix building on the University of Bradford City Campus is our home. The Phoenix Building houses four floors of research, learning, business incubation and public clinics. It features a full-size two bedroom Technology Smart House, the only one in the UK. The building functions as a hub of digital health knowledge and innovation, and a space for research projects to develop.
DHEZ's community of businesses, academics, health professionals and the public, provides an environment where digital health solutions are created, tested and delivered.
