The Bradford Graduate Internship Programme gives graduates struggling to find work valuable PAID work experience and the opportunity to develop employability skills and improve the chances of securing a permanent job.

This year's summer workshops for graduating students are a four-part series, designed to help you through the various stages of the job hunting process. There are various dates available for each workshop, and you can attend one, two, three or all four as required.

  • We will help you review your career and job ideas and plan your next steps.
  • How to evaluate and match your knowledge, skills and qualities to meet future employer’s requirements 
  • Refresh your job seeking strategy and gain confidence; learn how the Career and Employability Services can help you achieve your goals.

  • Find out how best to market yourself to employers and learn useful tips for effective applications (CVs, covering letters, applications and personal statements).
  • Understand the importance of having a strong personal brand with a professional social media presence, including LinkedIn.
  • We include useful resources and explain how Career and Employability Services can support you to make winning applications.

  • This session will give an overview of personal presentation, in particular interviews.
  • You will have a chance to practice some typical interview questions and receive feedback.  Feel free to bring a job advert to the workshop.
  • We will provide hints and tips and useful resources and explain how Career and Employability Services can help you get that job

  • Practice a range of activities and exercises that you may experience at an employer assessment centre

All graduates are welcome to attend our regular series of workshops during the academic year.


The Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Career Management in Practice is our flexible postgraduate qualification which includes a work placement and a programme designed to enable you to develop the insights and skills to enable you to manage your own career plan.

Free places are available for qualifying University of Bradford graduates. Applications open in October 2018.

Check out our website for great resources including Build My Career. This virtual careers centre has an interview simulator, an online CV builder, job hunting support and masses of very useful videos and podcasts.

If you are not already registered, please email us with your name and personal email address we will set you up with a graduate login (please let us know which resources you'd like access to in your email).

  • You also have access to our Graduates First Practice Test portal, which features a variety of sample psychometric tests, including verbal, numerical and logical reasoning tests.
