Financial Awareness

Prerequisite: None.

Target audience: any members of staff.

Course attendees are given a good understanding of financial matters that may be pertinent to them and relevant to their current situation - pension planning, protection, mortgages and tax planning are all factors which may need to be reviewed whenever personal circumstances change. The course will help delegates consider their personal finances, plan for change, and signpost them to further information, where required.

The following topics will be covered:

-how to create a financial strategy;

- planning for later life - Penions;

- savings or investment - should we save, or invest?

- the UK taxation system;

- wealth preservation - including the use of Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney;

- where to seek the correct advice;

- marketing yourself for potential career change.

Session duration: 4.5 hours.
