Introduction to Assertive Communication

Prerequisite: None.

Target Audience: Any member of staff who wants to develop their understanding of assertive communication and behaviour.

Aim: To provide strategies and techniques for identifying behaviour types and communicating effectively, particularly in situations we find challenging.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

- understand the differences between assertiveness and other types of behaviour;

- make informed choices about how they communicate in various situations;

- develop techniques for communicating clearly and confidently.

Session duration: 2.5 hours.
