Being a Personal Academic Tutor

Prerequisite: None.

Aims: Target audience:Essential for staff who are, or are about to be, a Personal Academic Tutor.

Personal academic tutors have a significant role in improving NSS scores/league table standings and successfully enhancing the learner experience at Bradford.

This session aims to:
* Set the context of learning, teaching and assessment at Bradford and consider the institutional imperative to enhance the learner experience;
* Identify the University's expectations of the personal academic tutor role and relate these to the UK Professional Standards Framework/UK Quality Code for learning and teaching;
* Consider development/support needs;
* Identify key contacts and ongoing support from the Centre for Educational Development and other University Services.
