Being a Programme Leader

Prerequisite: None.

Aims: Target audience:Essential for staff who are, or are about to be, a programme leader.

Programme Leaders have a pivotal role in improving NSS scores/ league table standings, enhancing the learner experience and successfully implementing the curriculum framework.This workshop forms part of Core Programme Leader Development and aims to:
* Set the current context of learning, teaching and assessment at Bradford and consider the institutional imperative to enhance the learner experience and improve student attainment;
* Identify the University's expectations of the Programme Leader role and relate these to the curriculum framework, the UK Quality Code and the UK Professional Standards Framework for learning and teaching;
* Consider development/support needs;
* Identify key contacts and ongoing support from the Centre for Educational Development and other University services.
