BSc Computer Science student gains hat-trick placement success

Department of Computing BSc Computer Science student is offered three placements!

Stefan-Octavian Mangu studying a BSc in Computer Science will be going to complete a placement year. Having being offered three placements for world-wide known companies (J.P Morgan, Microsoft and GlaxoSmithKline) he has chosen to take the placement year with J.P.Morgan as a business systems analyst.  Many students would be delighted to be offered one of these placements, but to have three knocking at his door is a remarkable achievement.

"I am very excited about this and I can’t wait to start working with them as this role offers me the possibility to expand and improve my knowledge in both computer science and in the world of business at an industrial level."

Being an International student from Romania, Stefan has settled in nicely to university life in Bradford and has taken full advantage of what is on offer.

"I quickly found my way around all the events organised by the University such as Fresher's Fair and other social events. These events helped me accommodate really fast with the university environment. Travelling with the fencing society to different events and competitions around the country makes my life as a student much more exciting."

"I have found the staff at the University of Bradford very helpful. They are always doing their best for everyone in ensuring everyone understands what is being taught. From my first day at university I was impressed by the facilities provided. From the latest technology, computing and media labs to the multitude of various books in the library, these facilities have helped me to successfully complete my assignments and even put my own ideas in to practice."
