Dr Geev Mokryani

BIOGRAPHY +

Geev Mokryani is a Lecturer in electrical power systems at the University of Bradford, UK.
Previously he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College London, U.K. He received B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering in 2004, 2007 and 2013 from Sahand University of Technology, Tabriz, Iran, and University of Salerno, Italy, respectively. From September 2011 to March 2012 he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark.
He has published three books, two book chapter and more than 40 research papers in peer-reviewed top ranked journals and top class international conferences.



His current research interests include

Operations research
Planning and control of distribution networks
Integration of distributed low-carbon technologies including wind, photovoltaics, electric vehicles and energy storage
Active network management (smart grids)
Artificial intelligence and heuristic optimization techniques applied to power systems
Uncertainty theory
Power system economics
Electricity markets
Demand side management and demand response
Multi-vector energy systems operation and planning
