You will find tomatoes on campus on the Library square.
This recipe serves 4 people.
400 g of fresh or canned tomatoes.
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
2 tablespoons of butter.
1 teaspoon of salt.
1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
Half a pint of milk.
- Place the tomatoes in a pan. If using fresh, simmer. If using canned, bring to the boil and simmer until tender.
- Add the baking soda.
- Heat the milk in a separate pan.
- Add the heated milk to the tomatoes and stir.
- Add the butter, salt and pepper.
- Stir and serve.
