Research and Business

Research and Business marketing works across many of the teams in External Affairs including media, content, CRM and Web development.

The function of research and business marketing in the University is to:

  • help raise the profile of the University through effective promotion of research successes
  • encourage academic engagement in research and industry partnerships and support them to raise their profile externally
  • to create interest from companies in working on partnerships with the University

As well as bringing in large quantities of income from research grants and industry partnerships, research plays a large part in supporting student recruitment by demonstrating that teaching is developed and delivered by academics with knowledge of the latest research and industry innovations.

This marketing function sits across both the Directorate of External Affairs and the Department of Research and Knowledge Transfer Support.
