Biography

Soon after gaining her qualification as an occupational therapist, Pam went to work in Canada for nearly four years, where she gained experience in paediatrics, neurology and pain management.  On returning to the UK, she gained employment in the NHS, based at a community hospital and working in physical rehabilitation.  She progressed to become a head occupationaltherapist within the Primary CareTrust and subsequently began to take on more of a managerial role.  Throughout her career, Pam has always been interested in student education, supervising many students on their practice placements.

Pam began teaching in 2005, her first post being at the University of Cumbria, where she also held the role of placement tutor.  In 2010, she moved to her present position as occupational therapy lecturer at the University of Bradford where she is also now the admissions tutor.  She has a keen interest in role emerging placements.
