Neurological Physiotherapy Clinic
Neurological physiotherapy provides assessment and rehabilitation for people with diagnosed neurological conditions or people who are currently awaiting diagnosis but are experiencing physical problems.
The student supervised neurological physiotherapy clinic provides a collaborative learning and teaching environment for our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy students. This means you will be assessed and treated by a qualified specialist neurological physiotherapist in conjunction with up to four students.
The neurological physiotherapy clinic currently runs on a Tuesday evening from 4pm till 7pm. Assessments usually take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, with follow up appointments approximately 45 minutes.
The clinic can offer assessment, rehabilitation and advice to individuals and their carers who are experiencing neurological or associated movement control problems. Some of the common conditions we treat are:
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Motor Neurone Disease
- Brain Injuries
- Guillain-Barre Disease
- Transverse Myelitis
- Balance Disorders
- Cerebral Palsy
