Postgraduate Taught Students Summer Requirements
Postgraduate Taught Students (PGT) who have completed the taught element of their course and only have their dissertation to undertake over the summer are still required to be in attendance at the University and this should not be seen as part of the summer vacation. Students will still required to maintain monthly engagement with their supervisor / tutor and a record of this must be kept by the faculty on the academic progress made.
Completing your dissertation from home
If the faculty permits the student to complete their dissertation from their home country, then the University is required to make a report to the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) that they will be completing their studies from home and this will result in the removal of the Tier 4 sponsorship and curtailment of the Tier 4 visa.
