Health Survey for England

The Health Survey for England is a major monitoring tool looking at the nation's health. It is used by the Government to plan health services and make important policy decisions that have an impact on us all. It is an annual survey and has been running since 1991.

Office for National Statistics (ONS) Health and Social care

Covers – health care system (eg waiting times, healthcare facilities), Health of the population (eg causes of death, lifestyles, disabilities) Special health care (eg maternity services, mental health services)

NHS England statistical Work Areas

Covers occupancy, waiting times, dementia referral, referrals and attendance at outpatient appointments, breastfeeding rates, and lots more.

Hospital Episode Statistics (HES)

Statistics on admissions, outpatient appointments and A&E attendances at NHS hospitals in England from 1989.
