BAPS - A society run by pharmacy students, for pharmacy students. As a society, we are open to anyone studying pharmacy at Bradford University. We hope to provide you with the chance to let your hair down outside of lectures, and meet new people from other year groups (you might even catch a few lecturers having a night off!).
The BAPS exec work hard to organise events and socials for Bradford pharmacy students to help make your university experience just that little bit more exciting. This year we have some great social events planned including; bowling, a meet and greet social in Escape bar, the Christmas meal at the end of term, and our annual summer Paracetaball held after exams in May. We try to cater to everyone so there will be both drinking and non-drinking socials available to attend.
You can see some of the photos from past socials on our facebook group (just search BAPS and you’ll find us). We also hope to be able to organise some academic events within the university, and our BPSA representatives (The Sarahs!) will keep you up to date on what’s going on around the country; Bradford have hosted some great BPSA events in the past, and they are always worth attending.
All members are entitled to discounts on all BAPS organised events and socials, and also on any clothing orders you make (our personalised hoodies are always a favourite).
We will also send out copies of our newsletter ‘PRN’ to all members, so you can stay up to date with everything that is going on within the department alongside all the fun we have on our BAPS social events.
For more information about the society please visit our union page and you can also read profiles of the new executive team.
If you have any questions, please email us at email@example.com as well as our other new email address firstname.lastname@example.org for any queries or problems you may have whilst studying Pharmacy.
How to join us
Membership is available to all Bradford pharmacy students and for the full 4/5 years is £25.
There will be a BAPS stall at the Freshers’ Fayre in Semester 1 and Refreshers Fayre in Semester 2 where you will be able to sign up and meet some of our exec team, and we will be about during the first few weeks to sign up for anyone unable to attend Freshers' Fayre. New members will also be entered in to a raffle to win a BNF (if that isn’t incentive enough, then what is?).
Membership will entitle you to fantastic discounts on tickets for social events and clothing orders (very popular among students!), and enable you to sign up to the buddy system. It is also a great way to meet fellow pharmacy students and make new friends! You can join BAPS at the Fresher’s Fayre and Refreshers Fayre in Semester 2 or after the scheduled BAPS lecture.
Please make all cheques payable to UBU.
