After getting my PhD in pharmaceutical sciences in University of Lausanne, Switzerland, I pursued my postdoctoral work in Japan and Germany, gained research experience in the fields in drug-biomembrane interactions, transdermal delivery and quantitative structure-skin permeation relationship of drugs. A number of papers on these research areas were published in peer-reviewed international journals. In addition to the research, as a lecturer, I also got teaching experience in pharmaceutical sciences and supervised/co-supervised 3 PhD students during my tenure in university Jena, Germany. In March 2011, I received the German academic grade “Habilitation” required to obtain an academic lectureship.

The main research areas were (1) Drug skin delivery by liposomal formulations, (2) Drug-biomembrane interactions by using liposomes as model membranes and (3) Quantitative structure-skin permeation relationships.
