Janet Oosthuysen

Janet did her PGCE in 1984/5 and has since worked in primary and secondary schools in Manchester, Bradford and Halifax as well as Hong Kong where she lived for three years. She worked on Vietnamese refugee camps in Hong Kong and continued doing educational social work on her return, working in Moss Side and North Halifax, as well as taking a refugee exhibition around the country to schools and community groups. Janet has lectured at both Salford and the University of Bradford. She is currently doing an MA in Race and Resistance at Leeds University.
