Biography

Elise is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Elise initially trained as a chartered accountant at KPMG before moving into industry where she undertook a variety of roles, ultimately as a Financial Controller. Her experience includes auditing and tax compliance (KPMG); Financial Analysis (First Direct Bank); Financial Control (Privilege Insurance - part of the Direct Line group).

Following a career break to bring up her family she decided to move into education, initially teaching the AAT qualification at Bradford College and subsequently lecturing on both CIMA and ACCA qualifications for Kaplan Financial.

Elise has a wide range of teaching experience in Financial Accounting; Management Accounting; Personal Finance; Auditing; Financial Management and Taxation; both at undergraduate and post graduate level.

Elise has also mentored for the ACCA on the Oxford Brookes BSc. (Hons) in Applied Accounting.
