Message from the Dean

I am delighted to be able to welcome you to the Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences within the University of Bradford.

Our Faculty brings together key areas of the contemporary business world. Our School of Management holds the Triple Crown of accreditations which places us in an elite group of Business Schools, we are also home to a vibrant and growing School of Law, and the School of Social Sciences which offers a diverse range of subject areas.

As a dedicated seat of management learning we are proud of our heritage and continue to strive for academic excellence, impactful research and teaching and employability-led outcomes. With a diverse and highly international student and staff community, the Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences continues to deliver and develop talented, versatile global citizens.

We are also proud of our deep links with business organisations, which create opportunities for engaging and transferring knowledge and the applied research we do in order to “make knowledge work”, creating a tangible difference to the world: locally in the communities we serve but also nationally and internationally through our global network of collaborative partnerships. This is evidenced through internationally recognised scholars and a growing and highly successful set of global alumni.

Our programmes aim to develop the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs in an environment where students can learn, engage and co-create solutions together for a complex, and rapidly changing world. As such, I’m committed to supporting interdisciplinary research, teaching and learning within the curriculum. I want to instil and support inquisitiveness in our students, learning about how disciplines within our Faculty can help to make a real difference.

We are committed to all aspects of excellence, sustainability, equality and diversity and will continue to seek to deliver quality, impactful research that informs teaching, business engagement and policy making.
