Celebration of the 9th Annual Rosa Parks Symposium
The Centre for Inclusion and Diversity, in collaboration with the Equality and Diversity Unit of the University of Bradford and Bradford Council, this week celebrates the life of Rosa Parks and reflects on the implications of her contributions to the race equality agenda.
The University of Bradford will host the launch of the Centre of Excellence for Environmental Technologies at the new Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Centre, on Wednesday 11 December, 1pm - 2.30pm.

University appoints new Dean
The University of Bradford has appointed Professor Julian Chaudhuri as its new Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics and will take up his post on February 3rd, 2014.
A unique online resource bringing together some 1600 specimens of diseased human bones into a single digital collection will offer trainee medics, clinicians and medical historians around the world the chance to study in detail the effects of chronic diseases on bone.

University Professor receives prestigious award
Professor David Elliott from the University of Bradford has been awarded the prestigious Glenn A. Fry Award, sponsored by the American Optometric Foundation. He was presented the award at the 2013 American Academy of Optometry 2013 Awards Ceremony in Seattle earlier this month.
The University of Bradford will award three honorary degrees during ceremonies this week on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 December 2013.
