Two children playing.

Situated within easy reach of the University of Bradford and Bradford College, we are around a 10 minute walk from Bradford town centre. Although we are located in an inner-city area, whilst in our setting, you would never know as we are away from the main road and located next to a nature garden.

Our Nursery is divided into 3 areas which provide care for our children based on their age: babies (0-2 years), toddlers (2-3 years) and preschool (3-5 years.)

Each room has its own outdoor area with high-quality equipment and resources to enable children to extend their everyday play, learning and development into the natural, outdoor environment.

Please take a look around all our units using the 360 virtual tours. If you would like to book a visit, please do not hesitate to contact the main office or complete the enquiry form.

Our preschool unit provides care for children aged 3 to 5 years.

Practitioner's support and guide children in promoting independence, social interactions and extend their development in preparation for school. Children take a lead role in their own learning, supporting one another within their play, holding discussions around managing feelings, behaviour, and conflict resolution.

This room works on a 1 adult to every 8 children ratio and has capacity for up to 32 children at any one time.

Outdoor facilities

We encourage our children to access the outdoor environment in all weathers and ask parents/carers to ensure their child is provided with outdoor clothing to support this.

The nursery has three main outdoor areas. Each unit has access to its own outdoor space, with free-flow access available to our toddler and preschool units.

We also have access to a woodland area which is situated behind the nursery, home to lots of wildlife and cared for by a local nature group.

As part of the University we have access to two large sports courts; these are adjacent to the main Nursery building, this area is fantastic for large group activities, such as using the tennis rackets, hoops, balls, and other physical equipment.

Staff support children from an early age to further their physical skills and enhance their confidence within the outdoor area by providing opportunity for activities such as:

  • Assault courses
  • Bug hunts and creating bug hotels
  • Den building and groupwork
  • Pond dipping and exploration
  • Water investigations
  • Construction play to challenge critical thinking skills
  • Outdoor role-play in our mud kitchen areas
  • Planting and extending knowledge and learning about life cycles
  • Developing confidence and new skills using the bikes, trikes, and scooters

Children form superb friendships and work together in harmony with their chosen tasks... children talk to each other about their feelings and demonstrate an excellent understanding of behaviour rules.
