Policies and Procedures

“Providers must take all necessary steps to keep children safe and well…  early years providers must…safeguard children; ensure the suitability of adults who have contact with children; promote good health; manage behaviour; and maintain records, policies and procedures” (EYFS 2012, p.13)

We have well developed and comprehensive policies and procedures within the setting and it is vital that everybody who uses the facilities or works for the University of Bradford Nursery adheres to these at all times.  Policies and procedures are a statutory obligation therefore by not following these you are in breach of these constitutional requirements and the consequences of such could be adverse.

“providers must make the following information available to parents and/or carers…details of the provider’s policies and procedures including the procedure to be followed in the event of a parent and/or carer failing to collect  a child at the appointed time, or in the event of a child going missing at, or away from, the setting…”(EYFS 2012, p .27)
