Kirsty Haunch

Research title: Improving the quality of life for residents with dementia at end of life in care homes.

Supervisors: Prof Jan Oyebode and Prof Murna Downs.

Kirsty graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences in 2010. She subsequently completed her MSc in Health Sciences at the University of York.  Following her graduation Kirsty worked as a Research Coordinator for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

While in post Kirsty set up the Enabling Research in Care Homes (ENRICH) initiative in the Yorkshire and Humber region giving more people the opportunity to become involved in research.

Kirsty is now studying for a PhD at the University of Bradford. Her research project seeks to improve end of life care for people living with dementia in care homes.
