Accredited Training

Each Faculty provides M level modules that doctoral students can opt to take as part of their development. Enrolment for these modules must be agreed between you and your supervisor.

These can be taken:

  • in full with assessment, in order to accrue credits towards a PG Cert or PG Dip in Research Methods
  • without assessment but with full access to all teaching and materials. This option means you won't accrue credits as you needn't complete the accompanying assessment.

N.B. as a doctoral student you can take any of these modules from any faculty, not just your own (unless otherwise stated by the provider).

The descriptors for these modules are available. You just need the name or module code for searching. Browsing the learning outcomes is recommended as it will help to establish if it will meet your needs.
