Year 7 – 10

Interactive session involving designing their own campus.

Year 7 – 10

General session regarding choices, taking into account GCSE/A Level choices and how this might affect their future choices with University/jobs/apprenticeships. This also introduces careers website and resources.

Year 9 – 13

These sessions will enable your students to develop focused revision skills which will help them prepare for upcoming exams. Can be tailored to suit specific year groups examinations; from year 9 to 13. The key messages will be based around the importance of prior preparation, having a positive balance between studying and leisure time and how to know their exam paper inside out. This talk will allow your students to learn some positive study tips, while also reflecting on their own attitude to their studies.

General session on how to manage time from transitioning from GCSE-6th Form-University. How to have good organisation skills to incorporate with time management to achieve the best grades.

As students transition from Year 11 — College/6th Form — University, they have to become more independent learners, therefore having an awareness of this and learning to plan ahead can be an indispensable skill! So this talk allows students to start thinking ahead for this transition. This session can also incorporate talks from some of our current student ambassadors.

Covers general considerations such as location, size and type of University, local surroundings, job opportunities, placement opportunities, study abroad etc.

Overview of each of our five faculties including courses, stand out facilities. This also briefly touches on entry requirements, our campus, accommodation and key selling points of Bradford.

Wider elements of student life e.g. work experience, students union, sports, societies and independent learning.

Year 12 – 13

Deliver a session on any subject we offer at Bradford e.g. Pharmacy/Health Professions/Optometry/Psychology. These subject talks cover an in depth overview of the course, careers the course is relevant to, entry requirements, subject specific personal statement tips and examples of things they'll study at HE level.

Covers information on how to process your UCAS application, what to include in your personal statement with hints and tips.

Whether your student is thinking more towards University interviews or is thinking about interviews for a career, this talk will allow all of your students to take away some incredibly useful advice for life. Discussing all the important areas of interview preparation, technique, body language and how to get your key skills across in one discussion.

Experience on how to go through an interview for a specific course at University. Will include a group presentation. Hints and tips will be included.

These sessions are geared more to A Level exams and University study. These can include revisions skills and exam prep, time management and organisation skills, presentation skills, independent living.
