There will be breaks throughout the day. You can bring your own lunch or purchase food from our onsite cafe.

Welcome and introduction

Introduction to the University and the Faculty of Management and Law from our academics.

Marketing: What's it all about?

Find out about the subject, the skills you will need and your employment prospects. Learn about the marketing mix, competitive advantage and how brands use different communication techniques. 

Student life

Your chance to hear from our current students. You will have the opportunity to ask them questions about any aspect of being a student, such as study tips, nightlife, student societies, the campus, accommodation, lectures and student support.

Finance: Counting the pennies

Learn about accounting and business, and the difference between accounting, finance and economics. Understand what business requirements are and how ethics play a big part within the financial business environment.

This taster will help you decide which route to take to reach your intended career.

Group work

Put everything you have learned into practice. Working in a group with your future classmates, you will create a presentation to showcase your ideas.

After the taster has finished, you are welcome to stay and chat. Our academics will be happy to answer your questions.
