A career in nursing. For BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult), (Child), and (Mental Health), 2019 entry.
The BSc (Hons) Nursing is committed to evidence-based practice, and students are taught by academic staff who have a wide range of experience across the NHS and are also involved in research and practice development.
Practical patient-centred programmes
We offer a practical, patient-centred course with equal amounts of theory and clinical practice. You will need to select your chosen field of either adult, child or mental health nursing prior to application for the programme. Spanning the rural Yorkshire Dales to inner-city districts, no other area of the UK offers the same rich diversity of clinical experience. Our nursing graduates have an excellent record a gaining employment in health settings across the region and the UK.
The Taster Day will provide an opportunity to meet some of the staff and students currently involved in the programme, and will give you an insight in to the knowledge and skills required by the profession and each field of nursing. There will be a number of activities delivered across our practical teaching rooms for each route that will reflect the course and the work of a nurse.
Please note: registration for the event starts at 12:30.
