Application for Car Parking Permits: Calendar Year 2017

In accordance with the University Car Parking Policy all vehicles parked in designated University car parks must display a current valid permit.

Applications are currently open using the new online application process:


Stage 1

How do I access the car parking application system?
Select the link detailed above or the banner on the Intranet saying 'Car Parking'. Once you have opened the car parking website you should select the Permit Application button.

Stage 2

What are 'Authentication Details'?
Enter your University email user name and password into the authentication section and then select proceed on the application section your personal details will be automatically populated from the University personnel system.

What should I do if the personal details are incorrect?
Contact Human Resources and have your records updated and over type the information using your correct details.

At this stage of the application form there are a number of mandatory fields that you must complete the car parking system will not allow you to proceed until you have completed the mandatory question fields.

What happens when I've completed the application form?
At the end of the process you will be notified via email confirming your application is pending review and detailing your application number. Please keep this email safe you will be required to quote your application number if you have any queries about your application.

What should I do if I don't know my email account details?
The University provides staff with an email account if you are not aware of your account details please contact ICT Service Desk on ext 3333 or itservicedesk@bradford.ac.uk.

How do I pay for my parking permit?

Salary Deduction
If you have paid for your permit in the past by salary deduction you can continue to do so by selecting the option 'salary deduction' at the beginning of the application process. 

Once you have completed your on-line application, the University will issue an email notification to confirm your success and if you are paying by salary deduction no further action is required by you.

How do I make payment by credit or debit card?

If you choose to pay by credit or debit card an offer email notification will be issued, upon receipt access the on-line system select the accept offer button and using your University email credentials, and application number accept the offer and make payment.

When you have completed the payment process you will receive an automatic email confirming your payment has been successful.

Note: Please note the offer will last for 14 days from the date of the offer letter, if acceptance and payment are not received within the time period the offer will be withdrawn.  

Note: Please note all permits will be issued via the internal postal system using the address selected from the work/study location on the application form.

Should I apply for a part time or full time permit?
Staff who work 22 hours or less may apply for a part time permit, staff who work above these hours must apply for a full time permit.

All staff must complete the application process on-line.

How much will a permit cost for 2017?

  • Motorcycle — £36
  • Part time (22 contractual hours or less) — £102 
  • Full time — £204 
  • Reserved — £720
  • Occasional user scratch card (sold in batches of 5, 10 or 20 up to a maximum of 50 per application year) — £3

Note: Occasional user scratch cards are audited and misuse may result in disciplinary action being taken.

Cancelling Permits

Cancellation of permits is by exception and must be agreed with Security Department in the first instance by writing to Security, Richmon Building, Richmond Road, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD7 1DP

Change of Vehicle

The new online parking system will allow staff to change their vehicle details on-line, to do this you will need to select the change of vehicle button. You will be asked to provide your unique pin number which will be provided on the top right hand side of your permit document, once you complete the process this will register you request on the system and the request will be actioned by the car parking administrator.

What if I am going to change my vehicle during the application period?
Please do not make an application until you have your new vehicle details then you may proceed with your application.

What should I do if I have already made an application and then change my vehicle?
Once an application has been submitted, you can no longer change your vehicle details.  Please email carparking@bradford.ac.uk for assistance.
