Bradford Birth to 19 Teaching School Alliance
Christian Bunting, Teaching School Director & Katie Waring, Head of Initial Teacher Training
Bradford Birth to 19 Teaching School Alliance is led by St Edmund's Nursery School in Bradford, and is the largest primary teacher training provider in West Yorkshire. It offers more than 100 teacher training places and "salaried routes to qualified teacher status in Bradford-area Schools".
"We are a training provider offering a wide range of training courses leading to Qualified Teacher Status. All our trainees were successful in gaining employment as teachers, many of whom are currently working in West Yorkshire schools.
"Schools choose to work with us because they get to employ teachers who will be outstanding in the classroom."
Teaching School Director Christian Bunting and Katie Waring, Head of Initial Teacher Training, say most of their trainees are University of Bradford graduates.
"University of Bradford graduates we work with have been academically able but more importantly positive, engaging people - choosing teaching because they want to make a difference to children's lives.
"We are looking to recruit people with a commitment to improving the life chances of young people, with skills, knowledge and above all the personal qualities needed to inspire children and to make learning fun."
If you're interested in becoming a teacher, Christian and Katie say this is a "unique" way to get qualified.
"As a training provider, we are unique in providing teacher training that is completely run by current teachers in schools.
"We provide the largest number of primary teacher training places in the Bradford area."
As well as attending University of Bradford careers fairs, you can head to one of Bradford Birth to 19's open evenings. Applications are made through UCAS.
