‘Pathology of Inner-Self’ (working title) is a research and development project conducted by Lucie Lee Dance Company.

The project is an exploration of  our ‘inner-self’ and how trauma can cause us to break up this picture, reassemble it and create an abstract puzzle of ‘self’.

The focus of this project is to explore the creation of fourth dimension with different layers of sensory stimuli to enhance the audience’s theatrical experiences. Through use of dance theatre and digital technology, the narrative of two characters will emerge and evolve.

This is an early stage of the project and therefore some aspects of the fourth dimension will not be included in the short performance on Friday 10th April.

This is an interdisciplinary collaboration with five artists:

  • Lucie Lee and Vilmore James – Dancers/Choreographers
  • Wayne Sables Project – Film Maker
  • David Mackenzie: Stantz – Composer and Musician
  • Charlotte Armitage – Photographer
  • Janine McMillan and Rita Marcalo - Dramaturgs

The company will be resident at Theatre in the Mill from 30th March to 10th April 2015, culminating a short work in progress performance and post-show talk on Friday 10th April.

7.30pm – 7.50pm: Performance

8.00pm – 8.30pm: Post-show talk and audience feedback

This research and development project is funded by Grants for Arts grant and supported by The Theatre in the Mill, Mind the Gap and IOU.
