It is important to us that you are supported in showing or creating work at the highest level possible, and that during your time here you get the most out of our resources. In order for us to help you get the most out of your time at Theatre in the Mill we require you to send us technical specifications in as much detail as possible no later than two weeks prior to your performance or residency. Preferably arrange for a meeting with us at the time of booking so we can talk through your needs, particularly if you are visiting as part of the free space programme and your project is currently in development.
A few disclaimers...
As we operate a hire service some of our kit may be out of the space on other events. Early discussions about your technical needs helps us ensure the availability of the equipment you need for your project.
As a studio theatre, the space is made available as a black box. We won't rig any lighting, sound or av equipment, tabs or curtains, or seating unless a tech spec has been submitted or discussions about technical support during your residency have been concluded to mutual satisfaction.
Any equipment you are bringing into the venue needs up to date electrical safety certification (PAT). If you are unable to provide this yourself then do not hesitate to contact us. We will arrange for your equipment to be tested at a small cost per item.
We do not hold a store of set, wardrobe or props but are more than willing to help your source items as far as is possible. However we can't make any guarantees on providing any items without prior agreement.
