Accessing Timetables

Staff can now view on-line timetables using the *NEW* viewing application SWS (Scientia Web Server)

You can access SWS using this link.

All staff, and students, are now able to access a new timetable viewing application, Scientia Web Server (SWS) which enables you to view your own and other timetables **SWS will replace the current online standalone PDF timetables** and enable you to:

  • Generate and view up-to-date timetable information from your personal schedule and additional resources.
  • See different views of timetable information in tabulated graphics, spreadsheets and daily reporting for viewing session day delivery.
  • See a summary view of programme timetable information without using your log on details (this service will also be available to potential students wanting to get a feel for how a programme of interest to them is delivered

SWS enables you to view up-to-date timetable information which is personal to you, as well as viewing general timetable reporting. We recommend that when using this service you do not take a hard copy of the information, and that you check your online timetable on a regular basis for any changes.

Booking Rooms

We're also making changes to the room booking service - Resource Booker will be the *NEW* way to book rooms

In early 2018 we are planning to introduce a new on-line room booking service for all staff and students. This service will enable you to view and book available space/s for meetings and other events.

Once launched, the service should be used for booking ad hoc room needs only, and not for making changes to the academic timetable; such changes should continue to be requested via the Programme Leader.

**It is important to note this service is not to be used to accommodate any essential changes to the academic timetable**

If you have any questions, queries or feedback about these changes please contact a member of the Timetabling Team by email or by telephone on ext. 3174.
