Why did you choose the University of Bradford?

I visited Bradford on an Open Day and I really liked the environment here and the staff seemed really supportive. As I'm an adult learner it was really important for me to go to university close to home, Bradford was easily commutable from Doncaster.

Once those boxes were ticked I decided to go out on a limb and go for it!

What have you enjoyed most about studying at Bradford?

The whole experience has been fantastic, it's been great to learn is such modern facilities and the new Physiotherapy Clinic has given me the chance to get stuck in and practice on patients outside of placements, which has really helped me to learn more.

I've done five placements during my course to gain the 1000 clinical hours required for registration, and I've had a good mix of experience across the core physio areas and sport.

I've worked for both the NHS and at the Bradford Bulls R.L.F.C. It's been useful, giving me an idea of what areas of Physio I can get into once I graduate.

What are your plans for the future?

After I graduate I'm hoping to start my career in the NHS. I'm not sure where I see myself in the future, I want to be led by the experiences that I'm having, so it depends what the next few years hold.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of applying to Bradford?

If you have the passion and the desire then go for it, it feels really good to see your own progression over the next few years.

You'll get all the support that you need when you're here.

The support during my time here has been amazing, I was assigned a personal tutor at the start of first year and I've felt like all the staff have been able to empathise with my family life at home, which has been really important for me
