Destination: PhD, University of Ulster
Three years ago I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to do medicine, research or something entirely different. But when I spoke to the Admissions Tutor for Biomedical Science, I was presented with all the different career options a Biomedical Science degree offered and I decided that this would be the best choice for me.
The last three years at the University of Bradford have been an amazing experience. The staff have been very supportive with my studies and I knew that if I ever needed help or advice I could just arrange an appointment with my personal tutor. The Biomedical Science labs
were perfect both for the lab classes in Years 1 and 2 and the four week individual project in Year 3.
The support from both lecturers and technical staff has helped me become confident in the lab and has prepared me for my future work as a researcher.
Team Bradford has been an important part of my University life. During my first and second years I was involved in different sports and in my final year I was elected President of the Biomedical and Healthcare Science Society.
Now, I am graduating with a First Class degree and starting a PhD in October, researching prostate cancer at the University of Ulster.
