MEng Medical Engineering

Laura Onu

"I decided to study at the University after attending an Open Day and have never looked back! The academics I met were very friendly to talk to, the course looked really interesting and the opportunity to finish my degree with a master's instead of a bachelor's degree was fantastic.

“With my love for Medicine and Engineering, this is the only course I could ever imagine myself to be on. It is also immensely challenging which makes it much more interesting and exciting.

I also realised the University of Bradford is the only place in the UK to offer a MEng programme with a combination of course modules which directly suited my interests. I wanted to study Medical Engineering as I knew the mixture of health-related skills and professional engineering skills will open up diverse career opportunities.

I found the course particularly interesting as it covers several aspects of Medical Engineering, from new advanced equipment for medical diagnosis and treatment to establishing biomaterials and artificial organs in the human body.

With my love for Medicine and Engineering, this is the only course I could ever imagine myself to be on. It is also immensely challenging which makes it much more interesting and exciting.

As engineering can be challenging my top tips for any students who want to go into the same career as me. Look to the future, be motivated and stay focused!"
