- Pursued career in nursing as son has cerebral palsy
Before coming to university, Rebecca spent four years at home looking after her son with cerebral palsy which inspired her to pursue a career in nursing as she realised how much she loves looking after children.
“I feel like I’ve learnt a lot about myself and what I’m like as a person, as a mum, as a wife, as a friend. The journey has been quite an emotional rollercoaster, and I’ve learnt to go for things. Life is too short. So you need to just go for it.”
