What is STEM?

STEM is an educational programme which brings together:

  • Science
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Mathematics

It's designed to prepare primary and secondary school students for further and higher education study in these areas.

Celebrity guest Marty Jopson

We are excited to announce that 'Science bloke' Marty Jopson from BBC's The One Show will be performing at the festival.

Marty's action-packed show will take you on a tour of household science. He will also address conundrums like:

  • What really makes cakes rise?
  • Why do soap bubbles burst?
  • How do you get the quartz out of a clock using a hammer?
