Audio Visual Analyst

Description

We are seeking a talented AV Support Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will be supporting the Audio-Visual Rolling Replacement project by facilitating the installation of new AV equipment and technologies across the University. The role will be also required to support the day-to-day functions of the team when needed.

You will need to collaborate closely with end-users, contractors, IT teams, and vendors to ensure the smooth installation of new systems as well as the retirement of obsolete technologies. You will also be needed to attend regular project meetings, providing project feedback to senior members on the project team.

Qualifications and experience

  • 5 GCSEs (grade A-C), including English Language and Maths (essential).
  • Relevant qualification or relevant work experience (essential).
  • ITIL v3 / 4 Foundation qualification (desirable).
  • Avixa CTS Certification (desirable).
  • Extron AVA (desirable).

Rewards and benefits

  • Salary: £26,444 to £28,759 (up to £30,487 with discretionary points).
  • Pension: West Yorkshire Pension Fund
  • Annual leave: 25 days (or 181.25 hours) increasing to a maximum of 30 days (or 217.5 hours). Eight bank holidays and five customary days.

Database Administrator

Description

You will be working within the DBA team to support the Oracle and SQL Server database systems in place within the university. You’ll work very closely with your colleagues in the Infrastructure Team and the Network Team along with other teams in the IT department. You’ll be maintaining and monitoring our existing SQL Server and Oracle database and you’ll be involved in projects to enhance and upgrade our capability. We’re looking for someone who is prepared to challenge the status quo; ask why; and help drive improvements and efficiencies.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience working in an environment where critical SQL Server and Oracle database systems are in use.
  • Experience working on both Windows and Unix / Linux OS.
  • Relevant qualifications in SQL Server or Oracle administration.
