Last night the University of Bradford hosted a live stream discussion with Ellen MacArthur as part of its three day conference on the Circular Economy.
Last night the University of Bradford hosted a live stream discussion with Ellen MacArthur as part of its three day conference on the Circular Economy.
The event which welcomed over 100 people, followed an afternoon of successful seminars and workshops focussing on discussion and interaction with all those interested in circular economy thinking.
The live stream discussion included questions from the audience, which covered topics such as what skills do future designers need for the Circular Economy and what affect will the rise of Artificial Intelligence have on the Circular Economy.
The session was run by Professor Peter Hopkinson, Director of the University's new re:centre and academic director of the partnership programme with the Ellen Macarthur Foundation.
Recently the University has been named as Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s World First Global Pioneer University on the circular economy, making Bradford the ideal choice to host the three day event (March 25-27)
Professor Peter Hopkinson, Director of the University's new re:centre and academic director of the partnership programme with the Ellen Macarthur Foundation, said: “This event is testament to the strong relationship we have with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and our partnership developing the Innovation, Enterprise and the Circular Economy MBA.
“The new re:centre is an exciting and dynamic space designed for businesses to collaborate with the University. With this fantastic resource and our already established circular economy courses, we are already seeing relations with both local and global businesses develop and grow.”
The University also manages the online executive education introductory course on the circular economy for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's Circular Economy 100 business innovation programme. To date over 300 executives and leaders have been through this course including Ikea, Phillips, Coca-Cola and Renault.
